Investment thesis

Autonomy has outgrown the assumption that sensors are honest.

Flight stacks were built to fuse sensors, not to decide which ones deserve to be believed. As platforms take on more authority, that gap becomes the constraint.

The problem
Estimators blend navigation, inertial, magnetic, and environmental inputs into a single state. When one channel degrades quietly, through interference, drift, a failing part, or an inconsistent environment, the blended state degrades with it, and the platform continues acting on a number nothing challenged.
Why it persists
Redundancy answers whether a sensor is present, not whether it is right. Voting schemes need identical channels. Thresholds catch outright failures and miss slow ones. The flight controller cannot audit its own inputs because it is downstream of them.
SSIL, the commercial path
An independent integrity layer that evaluates residual consistency across sensor channels and outputs source-level health, trust, and fault-state signals to the vehicle stack. It is explainable by design, which is what makes it sellable into civil, commercial, and research programs.
CSIA, protected
A separate, protected cross-sensor intelligence architecture aimed at defense-oriented applications. Its algorithms, tuning, and implementation are not published, not described here, and are handled only under written agreement.
Why this team can execute
SWORT does the electronics work itself: flight computer design, GNC hardware, PCB layout, embedded firmware, telemetry, and bench verification. An integrity layer has to be proven against real hardware behaviour, and SWORT builds the hardware it tests against.

Working integrity pipeline

A causal processing pipeline exists as an installable package with a command-line interface and a local dashboard. It ingests synchronized telemetry and emits per-source trust and fault state.

Automated test coverage

The pipeline carries an automated test harness, including a test that asserts no lookahead: a decision at any timestep uses only data available at that timestep.

Fault-mode simulation

Scenario runs cover navigation inconsistency, inertial bias drift, and clean-baseline cases, with recorded logs and plotted trust behaviour over time.

Aerospace electronics capability

Flight computer, GNC hardware, PCB, telemetry, recovery electronics, and embedded firmware are delivered as scoped engineering work, source-complete.

Stated limits. The results above come from simulation and bench-level work. SWORT has not completed hardware-in-the-loop qualification, flight testing, certification, or production deployment, and does not claim them. Detailed logs, scenario definitions, and figures are shared under agreement rather than published, and are dated and scoped when shared.

Current
Productizing SSIL for embedded targets. Expanding fault-mode coverage. Formalizing the verification approach so results are reproducible and reviewable by a customer.

Hardware-in-the-loop validation against representative flight hardware. First integration on a partner platform. Structured technical documentation to support later qualification work.
Milestone dates are not published. SWORT will not put a schedule on a public page that it cannot commit to contractually.
